The 1865 Queen Victoria Issue
In 1865 six new values were issue being ½a, 8 pies, 1a, 2as, 4as and 8as. A number of the values are found different shades of color. The stamps were issued on paper with watermark 13 being the Elephant’s Head.
The 1866 “Postage overprint on Fiscal Stamps” Queen Victoria Issue
In mid-1866 the 6as fiscal stamp was overprinted with “POSTAGE” due to the need of a 6as postage stamp. Two types of green overprint are found used – one with larger letters, of which there are 20 different types of overprint and one with smaller letters.
