The set comprises of 13 values and was issued with Bahrain overprinted on the contemporary Indian stamps of King George V. Stanley Gibbons refers to this stamp as issued in November 1933 whereas other sources refer to December 1933 as being the date. However, the earliest recorded use of the stamp on cover is November 8th 1933.

The First Airmail Issue of Kuwait - 1933 – Lithography Double Print - 1933 In 1933 Kuwait issued its first airmail set which saw “KUWAIT” overprinted on the 1929 Indian Airmail. The 3 Annas value is found with Lithography Double Print which is very clear by just looking at the printing of the mountains. This double print is not known on sheet without the Kuwait overprint indicating that only one sheet may exist.
